Air France announces its partnership with French maison Jacquemus to create an exclusive loungewear set, presented to La Première guests onboard. While the French airline has partnered with fashion brands like Christian Lacroix to design its crew and staff uniforms, this is a first for loungewear.

Air France has collaborated with French maison Jacquemus to enhance luxury travel with exclusive bespoke loungewear. This partnership gives passengers flying in the airline’s newly launched La Première first-class suites with a Jacquemus loungewear set. Available from 20 March, the collaboration marks Jacquemus’s inaugural venture into travel apparel.

“We are proud to partner with Maison Jacquemus and its innovative creativity to design a new loungewear set exclusively available in the La Première suites,” said Fabien Pelous, director of customer experience at Air France. “Every detail matters in creating a memorable travel experience, and this collaboration strengthens our commitment to enhancing every moment spent in this exceptional cabin.”

This partnership coincides with Air France’s broader enhancement of its premium travel. The airline is unveiling redesigned La Première suites aboard its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, giving passengers spacious interiors, increased privacy, wireless touchscreen cabin controls and 32-inch 4K TV screens. Also part of the new experience are Dumas Paris bedding, an amenity kit with Sisley products and cocktails by mixologist Matthias Giroud.

The Jacquemus Aesthetic

Le Pyjama, tailored from navy-blue high-quality cotton, incorporates Air France’s winged seahorse emblem embroidered on the chest, accompanied by Jacquemus embroidered logo at the back. Presented in a red  or blue cotton poplin pouch featuring a surrealist trompe-l’œil design, secured by Jacquemus’s signature geometric trompe-l’œil round-square buttons, the pyjama sets are available in four sizes, with two neckline options i.e. round-neck and v-neck.

Jacquemus has integrated its signature style in the world of La Première to create the timeless loungewear with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. Easily transportable and reusable, it serves as a keepsake of a night in Air France La Première suites.

Why Business Travelers Prefer Business Class Airlines Over Economy

Enhancing Premier Travel

Jacquemus’s partnership with Air France is the latest in the history of airlines collaborating with fashion designers to add luxury style to travel. In the 1960s, Air France commissioned Christian Dior’s artistic director, Marc Bohan, to design uniforms for its flight attendants. Similarly, Emilio Pucci worked with Braniff International Airways on bold, colourful designs that transformed cabin crew attire. Meanwhile, Pierre Balmain’s timeless sarong kebaya for Singapore Airlines elevated crew uniforms to expressions of cultural pride. Today, designers like Vivienne Westwood for Virgin Atlantic, Ashi Studio for Riyadh Air, and Zac Posen for Delta Airlines continue this legacy.

ABOUT JACQUEMUS

Jacquemus was founded by Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009 in Paris. Dedicated to the memory of the fashion designer’s late mother, a passion for culture inspires the ready-to-wear and accessories that reference a French way of life and universal gestures of beauty: from fine art photography to the decorative arts, cinema, painting and sculpture. The styles are minimalist, asymmetrical, surrealist and effortless.

Jacquemus has staged runway productions in spectacular locations such as a lavender field in Provence, a wheat field outside of Paris, a salt marsh in the Camargue, a beach in Hawaii and at the Château de Versailles. In 2012 the French designer was invited to present his collection at Paris Fashion Week. After being nominated twice for the LVMH Prize and winning a special jury prize in 2015, he has since gained not only the recognition of critics but also an international fan base that includes celebrities such as Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

Today, Jacquemus is an independent fashion house known for its strong digital presence. The Parisian brand has over three hundred employees and hosted novel retail experiences worldwide, before opening its first flagship store at 58, Avenue Montaigne, Paris in 2022. Following this milestone, stores opened in Dubai, Seoul, New York and London.

One of the key factors behind Jacquemus’s success is the fashion designer’s ability to balance artistry with wearability. His collections draw inspiration from his childhood in the south of France, incorporating elements like sun-drenched colours, rustic fabrics and fluid silhouettes. He also gained widespread attention for his viral accessories, including the Le Chiquito bag, which became a must-have item among celebrities.

With this appointment, Jacquemus strengthens its vision of structuring its development while maintaining its creative independence. Jacquemus has stores in the best locations for luxury retail, including a 3,200 sq-ft, two-level space on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, Spring Street in New York and New Bond Street in London. Its seasonal boutiques in Saint-Tropez, Ibiza, Monaco, Capri, Courchevel, and Mykonos have also been met with great success.

The luxury fashion brand has huge plans for the year ahead. By the end of April, the first Jacquemus store in Los Angeles will open at 8800 Melrose Avenue, followed by the Miami store in early 2026. “There is room for Jacquemus in South America. Asia is also a significant potential market,” he told WWD, highlighting the performance of his store in the Dubai Mall. “We could open more stores in that mall because it’s been a huge success.
