Following the success of its 2022 collaboration with Liam Gallagher, British footwear brand Clarks Originals has reimagined another archive silhouette with the front-man of Brit-pop band Oasis. The Liam Gallagher x Clarks Originals LG Desert Rain will be available on Clarks online and in select stores, as well as through exclusive stockists from March 20, retailing at £140.

The limited-edition Clarks Desert Rain stays true to the Clarks Originals heritage while adding Gallagher’s signature style. This includes the iconic Clarks Originals premium pebble crepe outsole, jumbo cotton cord upper in Clarks’ tonal suede colourway, and Liam Gallagher’s silhouette on the heel. Other touches include a double-sided suede fob featuring Clarks Originals branding on one side and LG’s silhouette on the reverse.
The new collaboration coincides with Clarks 200th anniversary. A short documentary film, in which Gallagher talks of his 90s obsession with Clarks Originals, was released last month. In the film, Gallagher said: “I wore Clarks all the way through the 90s. I don’t think there is any other (shoe) brand for me, really. I find it hard to even look at other brands – Clarks have never let me down.”
As one of the architects of Brit-pop fashion, Liam Gallagher’s on-stage looks are documented; we see him wearing Clarks’ crepe soles during the Be Here Now tour, for example. Liam Gallagher has been wearing Clarks since the Nineties, particularly the classics from the Desert Boot and Wallabee to the Desert Rain and Ashton.

In 2018, keen to get his hands on the then-discontinued Rambler, Gallagher tweeted about it, urging the heritage brand to bring back the discontinued Rambler. This led to LG Rambler in collaboration with Clarks Originals, which sold out immediately. The current Clarks Originals x Liam Gallagher collaboration witnesses Liam reimagining Clarks Desert Rain, a rare Clarks silhouette that originally launched in the early 2000s.
The Liam Gallagher x Clarks Originals LG Desert Rain will be available on Clarks online and in select stores, as well as through exclusive stockists from March 20, retailing at £140. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase the limited-edition pair one day early from the Clarks Originals Berwick Street in London and Kings Street in Manchester stores.
About Clarks
Two brothers, a small town, and shoes. Since 1825, Clarks has evolved from a humble workshop in Street, Somerset, into a global footwear brand. Whether they’re pioneering cutting-edge comfort technologies, championing social change, or creating timeless silhouettes, progress is woven into their DNA.
In 2025, Clarks honours past and present, commemorating this two-century legacy of innovation and impact through an all-new film, book, museum exhibit, and style collaborations. The story began in 1825 when Cyrus Clark opened a tannery manufacturing leather goods, his brother James alongside him. Among the sheepskin rugs, James had a flash of inspiration: to use the off-cuts to create slippers – minimising waste. Every Clarks shoe since the first pair uses this combination of innovation and craftsmanship.
From the very first Brown Petersburg slipper created by Cyrus and James Clark through to Nathan Clarks Desert Boot that revolutionised casual footwear, they have created over 22,000 styles and the classics – Wallabee, Desert Boot and Desert Trek – underpin countercultures and define generations. Clarks’ icons transcend geographical boundaries. The Desert Boot and Wallabee are still among the bestselling designs, worn by everyone from illustrious artists to everyday heroes.
