Snap Inc. And Prada Group Announce New Global Collaboration

The collaboration between Snapchat and the Prada Group dates back to 2017. By 2021, Snap and Prada Group introduced the AR Bag Try-On Lens for Prada Galleria. In November 2024, Snapchatters unlocked a selection of Prada and Miu Miu looks. This initiative is not just about playing dress-up; it presents the Prada Group with an opportunity to build an aspirational, interactive experience for a young demographic.

For Spring 2025, Snap Inc. is bringing more items (including new exclusives!) to their community, which has created “more than 2.7 billion Bitmoji avatars globally”. The global partnership with Prada Group represents a continuation of Snap’s strategy to integrate luxury fashion brands into its ecosystem. The expanded Prada x Bitmoji collection includes digital replicas of the Prada Re-Nylon Shoulder Bags and Collapse Sneakers.

“Snapchatters love expressing themselves with Bitmoji fashion, whether they’re trying out the latest trends, unlocking new styles from their favorite brands or dressing their mini-me in a classic fit they know and love,” Snap announced. The new accessories will add to Snap’s existing selection of Bitmoji fashion partnerships, with new releases from Adidas, Converse, Nike, Jordan, Crocs, Levi’s, and others.

Historical data shows that new or expanded fashion collaborations drive increased engagement with Bitmoji. Snap-chatters often return to the social platform to update their avatars when new looks become available, subsequently establishing cyclical engagement patterns that align with seasonal fashion calendars.

Technical improvements at Snap Inc. include a redesigned interface presenting snap-chatters with “a new visual menu” that organises the newest and trending apparel and accessories in a more accessible, visual format, potentially increasing engagement.
