Victoria Beckham Appoints Sybille Darricarrère Lunel As Its New CEO

Victoria Bechkam’s new CEO Sybille Darricarrère Lunel joins from Christian Dior Couture, where she was business unit director of leather goods. She previously held leadership roles at Galeries Lafayette and The Kooples. “I have always admired the brand’s feminine, elegant, and modern style, which empowers women,” she said. “I have a deep admiration for Victoria’s work, her sincerity, her creative vision, and her attention to detail.”

Victoria Beckham, who founded the fashion brand in 2008, said that she was looking forward to have a “strong, creative, smart woman with an entrepreneurial mindset and energy by my side. I look forward to leading this company with Sybille and having her knowledge and respect for product, and her experience in the industry, to help us go to the next level.”

The appointment comes as Victoria Beckham continues strengthening its core business. In recent years, the fashion brand streamlined operations, introduced new product categories, and revised its pricing strategy to balance its blue-chip luxury repositioning with a broader commercial appeal.

“For any company, there comes a moment when the right leadership unlocks its true potential. With Sybille, and her natural entrepreneurial energy, that moment is now,” said David Belhassen, founder and managing partner of NEO Investment Partners, which holds a majority stake in the business. “Her sharp understanding of product, combined with her drive, makes her our perfect partner to write the next chapter for Victoria Beckham— one of ambition, creativity, and high profitable growth.”

After Darricarrère Lunel joins the company, Toledano will continue to be Chairman of Victoria Beckham, a position he has held since 2017, when the French group Neo Investment Partners, of which he is a key executive, acquired thirty percent of the fashion brand.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham, formerly known as Posh Spice from the British pop group Spice Girls, has transformed her career from a pop star to a fashion designer. After the Spice Girls disbanded, Victoria launched her own eponymous label in 2008. Her keen eye for design and attention to detail allowed her to carve a niche in the competitive industry and the collections are celebrated for their modern aesthetic and sleek tailoring. Today the brand offering includes ready-to-wear, footwear, eyewear, and leather goods.

The transition from muse to Creative Director of her own fashion brand was a natural one, fuelled by a longtime obsession with design and art, meticulous attention to detail, and a luxurious sensibility. With influences from the worlds of art and film, the brand is defined by a combination of classic British luxury with a subtle contemporary vibe, resulting in immaculately cut tailoring, dresses, denim, and separates, with off-kilter prints, modern cuts and colour palettes.

With offices in London and New York and a flagship store in Mayfair, the fashion brand has won multiple industry awards including Best Designer Brand and Brand of the Year at the BFC’s Fashion Awards. In addition to victoriabeckham.com, Victoria Beckham is carried in 230 stores in fifty countries worldwide, with dedicated personalised spaces in key department stores.

Beyond her professional achievements, Victoria Beckham’s personal life has captivated public interest. Married to football legend David Beckham since 1999, the couple has four children and is often regarded as one of the most glamorous and influential couples in the world. The former Manchester United legend and his wife Victoria Beckham have a combined net worth of £455 million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2024. Victoria has effectively managed the delicate balance between her career and family life, often sharing glimpses of their home life on social media and using her platforms to advocate charitable causes.
